Back-to-back TV series for Eula and costars
MANY TV stars take a break between teleserye assignments, but Eula Valdez, Ryzza Mae Dizon and Christian Vasquez appear to be so “in demand” that they have gone from “Princess in the Palace” to their next GMA 7 show, “Calle Siete”—without skipping a beat!
One week, “Princess” concluded its storytelling, then the following Monday, “Calle” started telecasting—on the same late-morning slot that “Princess” had just vacated! Amazing.
Another one for our lengthening “Only on Philippine TV” list, right? Seen one way, it’s a testament to the stars’ popularity and versatility, so let’s hope that they do turn in different characterizations this follow-up time around.
Otherwise, some viewers might feel a bit short-changed and—taken for granted?
So, what’s the new late-morning teleserye about? It appears that the characters played by Eula and Christian have been working hard in Dubai to make and save enough money to build their dream home and live the good life.
Last Monday’s premier telecast showed Eula’s character coming home ahead of Christian, secure in the thought that they had already saved enough to achieve their goal.
She arrived just in time for her beloved Lola Nitz’s (Gloria Sevilla) birthday, and the first telecast was pretty much all sweetness and light. But, it’s intimated that unexpected financial problems may be cropping up all too soon—so, watch out!
Other regular players in the new show include Ryzza as Barbie Delloso, Patricia Tumulak as Patring, Kenneth Medrano as Jonas Delloso, Lucky Mercado as John Delloso, Taki Saito as Sushie Silang and Lovely Abella as Bonnie.
Other new GMA 7 shows include the comedy series, “Hay, Bahay” with Vic Sotto and AiAi delas Alas, “Conan, My Beautician” with Mark Herras and Megan Young, “A1 Ko Sa ‘Yo” with Jaclyn Jose, “Sa Piling ni Nanay” with Katrina Halili and Yasmien Kurdi, and the new “Encantadia” fantaserye— with an all-star cast!
