American singer ‘Meat loaf’ collapses during concert

Concert goers witnessed a frightening sight on Thursday night (Friday in Manila), as rock singer Meat Loaf collapsed on stage during a show in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The 68-year-old, whose real name is Marvin Lee Aday, was performing his 90’s hit “I Would Do Anything For Love” at the Northern Jubilee Auditorium, when he suddenly collapsed.

As seen on several videos online, Meat Loaf’s microphone thuds on stage as he collapses forward, puts his hands down and then rolls over.
The song abruptly stops as his fellow musicians and stage hands were seen rushing to his side. Some fans were even confused at first and thought it was part of the act.
“He just fell,” concert attendee Jamie Carriere was quoted in a report from CBC news. “I thought it was a joke. I didn’t know what was going on because he was joking around throughout his set”.
Carriere added that the arena was evacuated while medics tended to the singer. His condition remains unknown as of this story’s writing.
The singer had canceled shows in Moose Jaw and Calgary earlier in the week due to illness, according to his Facebook page.
Meat Loaf’s two biggest albums 1977’s “Bat out of Hell” and the 1993 follow up “Bat out of Hell II: Back into Hell” produced numerous hit singles including “Paradise by the Dashboard Light,” “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad” and “I’ll Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That).”
