Michael Jackson’s brother, Tito, has turned his funky and spunky collaboration with Grammy-winning rapper Big Daddy Kane, “Get It Baby,” into a chart-topping—and record-breaking—opportunity.

Tito steps out of his famous siblings’ shadows armed with “Get It, Baby’s” swinging and foot-stomping sizzle, made more appealing by its Pharrell Williams-meets-Usher vibe.

The song, a cut from his coming album, “Tito Time,” is inching its way up the pop and Adult R&B charts after its No. 30 bow last June 11 on the Billboard Twitter Top Tracks.

With his first solo hit, Tito, an original member of the Jackson 5, becomes the ninth and final Jackson sibling to lodge a solo single on the charts.

After performing on the chitlin’ circuit—and, on their manager-father Joe’s behest, even in strip clubs, to earn extra income—in relative anonymity, the Jacksons began scaling the charts in 1969, with songs like “I Want You Back,” “ABC” and “I’ll Be There.”

Michael’s prodigious triumphs as a solo artist (“Thriller,” “Off the Wall,” etc.) paced the career-highs of Janet (“Miss You Much,” “Let’s Wait Awhile,” etc.), Jermaine (“Let’s Get Serious”), Rebbie (“Centipede”), La Toya (“Betcha Gonna Need My Lovin”), Jackie (“Stay”), Marlon (“Don’t Go”) and now, Tito Jackson—at the ripe age of 62!
