American actor J.K. Simmons will be the most buffed “Commissioner Gordon” in recent memory, as his noticeably shredded physique was on full display last week,  through a series of viral photos on Instagram.

Trainer and retired United States marine Aaron Williamson posted the photos of the 61-year old, who’s reportedly getting ready for his role in the upcoming Warner Bros. Entertainment’s Justice League movie.  Along with massive arms, Simmons is also seen sporting a full grey beard.

His involvement with the film will reportedly be small, according to a report from IGN.com, though he’s hoping to be involved in the franchise in the future, as well.

With a rumored Batman standalone film starring Ben Affleck on the horizon, there’s a chance Simmons will continue as Gordon for some time.

Helmed by “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” director Zach Snyder, “Justice League” is expected to hit cinemas November 17, 2017. Khristian Ibarrola
