Michael Pangilinan goes from singing to acting
SINCE he joined show biz five years ago, Michael Pangilinan has remained focused on his singing career. But, this changed after he interpreted “Pare, Mahal Mo Raw Ako,” a finalist in the 2014 Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs tilt.
The gay-themed love song composed by Joven Tan has become the title of Pangilinan’s launching movie, also directed by Tan.
The film follows the friendship of Red (Pangilinan) and his childhood buddy, Mark (Edgar Allan Guzman)—who soon realizes that he has fallen in love with his good friend!
A tyro in acting, Michael is thankful to have worked with supportive coactors. He got close to Edgar Allan when they competed in “Your Face Sounds Familiar.”
Nora Aunor makes a special appearance in the movie, as EA’s distraught mother. The film also features Joross Gamboa, Matt Evans and Anna Capri, and will be shown starting June 8.
