SM Entertainment’s boy band Super Junior’s Kangin is currently under investigation for driving under influence the police said Tuesday.
The star allegedly collided with a street lamp in Gangnam-gu around 2 a.m. on Tuesday while driving a rented Mercedes-Benz vehicle. No one was injured.
After being further investigated by the police, Kangin admitted to the charge of drunk driving leading to suspension of his driver’s license. His agency, SM Entertainment released a statement indicating the singer will be banned from attending future performances and activities as entertainer.
This is the Super Junior member’s second DUI incident. He faced similar charges in 2009.
SM also issued an official apology to fans of Super Junior.
