WE ALL have our love stories to tell. Maybe life is not about the “happy ending.” Maybe it’s about the story. Whatever relationship status you’re in, there’s something you can relate to in GMA 7’s sexy and naughty primetime series, “Juan Happy Love Story” (Monday to Friday after “Once Again”).
In the series, Dennis Trillo is Juan, a go-getter businessman who’s also a certified “chick boy.” He meets Happy (Heart Evangelista), a feisty, family-oriented woman who relies on signs to find “The One.”
As you watch Juan and Happy go through love’s many twists and turns, may it remind you to enjoy the “detours” on the way to your own “Forever.”
Here’s my one-on-one with Heart:
What makes a love story happy?
When you’re both content and you love each other. You may not be on the same page all the time, but there’s an understanding between the two of you.
What adjustments are you and Chiz (Escudero) still making as husband and wife?
I’m building a house now, so maybe when we move in, that’s when I will really see certain adjustments. But I don’t think it’ll be a lot because we already know each other, more or less.
We don’t believe in pretending to be people we’re not. I’m around his kids most of the time, and they already practically live with me, so I don’t think there’ll be much adjustment.
What’s the cheesiest thing that Chiz has done for you?
A lot! He likes to write books, like…a love letter that’s thick as a notebook, explaining how much he loves me, that day when he saw me, how beautiful I was and stuff like that….
What’s the toughest part about being a stepmom to the kids?
Nothing, really. I’m pretty much shielded by my husband from anything that would stress me out. I don’t have to deal with a lot of stuff about having stepkids. And the only thing that I have to do is to live with them and be their Tita Heart.
Grateful guy
My one-on-one with Dennis:
At this point of your career, what else do you wish for?
I can’t ask for anything more. I’m grateful for everything that I have—enough to be extremely happy.
How has your concept of love changed through the years?
Nothing’s changed. It’s still the greatest feeling one can ever experience.
What advice about women and love would you give your son someday?
Follow your heart and don’t settle for anything less. Be with someone who makes you feel complete.
What’s your unsolicited advice to incoming President Rodrigo Duterte?
Be selfless. Be a superhero. Save our country. Be a man for others.
What are you most proud of?
My complete life.
What are your thoughts on fidelity and jealousy?
Focus on fidelity and not jealousy!
What kind of girl would make you want to tie the knot?
Someone who has soul mate quality.
