‘The Magnificent Seven’ on Imax screens

“The Magnificent Seven,” starring Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke, is being digitally remastered and will be released in Imax theaters worldwide this September.
Director Antoine Fuqua’s fresh take on the classic action-adventure drama is set in a town under the deadly control of an industrialist (Peter Sarsgaard). The desperate townspeople are forced to employ seven hired guns—who eventually find themselves fighting for more than money!
Cinemansanas awards
Last May 12, Power Max Center Spotlight at Circuit Makati presented the winners of the Pixelworx Cinemansanas competition for digital films created using Apple devices.
Pixelworx ambassadors who also served as judges, like Mario Cornejo, Monster Jimenez, Ricky Lee and Yam Laranas, also shared their workshop teaching experiences.
‘Summer Festival of Dances’
At 5 p.m. on May 21, “Summer Festival of Dances” under the artistic direction of Vella C. Damian, will be held at the Rizal Park Open-Air Auditorium.
It features dancers from Damian’s School of Ballet-Main, New Manila Ballet, Colegio San Agustin Centro de Baile Classico and the Chameleon Dance Company.
