Being a mom has its joys and hardships. We asked celebrity mothers what they enjoy most about motherhood, and what they learned from their own moms:

The best thing about being a mom is being able to experience life with your child. It’s a joy to see my daughter Olivia grow right before my very eyes. Sharing special moments with her reminds me of my purpose in life. When you have a daughter, it isn’t hard to find things to do together, like visiting the nail salon or watching movies together.

My mom taught me the importance of praying, whether what I’m going through is good or bad. The Sunday Mass is a must. She was supportive in everything that I did…[saying] she’d always be there to catch me when I fall. It’s true: Mother knows best.

There’s nothing better than the unconditional love you get from your child. You make memories together while watching your mini-me grow up. I’m a working mom. We bond when we pray together at night, and when we hear Mass every Sunday with my family.

My mom always reminded me to prioritize [my daughter] Ceana in every decision I make. She taught me to manage my schedule wisely and allot special time to bond with my kid.

Dimples Romana

As a mother, I love seeing my kids grow into kind adults. Baking, cooking, spending time outdoors and playing old-school Pinoy games allow us to bond as a family. My mom told me to always be giving.

Melissa Ricks

I love the fulfillment motherhood gives you, and the knowledge that, with your child around, you have a best friend for life. My mom taught me patience. Do something one step at a time…you won’t learn everything all at once. Don’t be hard on yourself.
