Cute hottie defies handlers, supports pal

All’s well that ends well.

Cute Hottie almost didn’t make it as part of Controversial Friend’s all-star team.

According to a mole, CH’s Savvy Handlers had asked for a rather steep fee before the games started last year. CF’s camp balked at SHs’ demands.

Surprisingly, CH defied SHs and supported CF—gratis et amore. CH is merely repaying a debt of gratitude. After all, CF and Esteemed Kin’s contributions to CH’s career are difficult to ignore.

Good kid knows how to value the people who have helped him on his way to the top.

Not-so-veiled shout-out

Seems Admired Thespian is sending a not-so-veiled message of support to fellow Screen Veteran.

In a casual chat, AT obviously dissed Petulant Newbie, who had the temerity to disrespect SV.

AT recalled that, back in the day, a newcomer’s insolence wouldn’t go unpunished. PN would’ve been pursued out of town for treating SV shabbily.

Apparently, AT, who had the misfortune to work with PN recently, got a sampling of the supposed appalling behavior first-hand.

In the act

It is never wise to make a mess in your own backyard… or place of business.

Industry Insider learned this lesson the hard way. II landed a lucrative gig in Show Town.

Libido, however, got the better of II.

II fooled around with similarly passionate colleague in the workplace. Unfortunately, the two lovebirds got caught in flagrante delicto.

Next scene: II got the boot and lost the plum job.

Hair-raising

There is something suspicious about Seasoned Performer’s new look.

Not a few observers have noticed that SP’s tresses have become thicker and more lustrous of late.

SP, whose forehead had become much too prominent since staging a comeback years ago, obviously sought the help of hair experts. One day, SP was sporting a slick upswept do; the next, it was full bangs for a change.

SP needs to stay forever hip, to keep up with Youthful Partner.

Bully babe

From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:

As a teenager, Scandalous Starlet was a bully on campus. SS allegedly victimized classmates who were too meek to fight back that time.

Fast forward to the present: SS’ former victims have learned to retaliate. Some of them have turned to social media to expose SS’ shenanigans back in high school.

They gleefully revealed SS’ secrets online—particularly, that she was an incorrigible flirt.

SS was, and still is, boy crazy, they insisted.

Top of talk shows

For those who missed last weekend’s gabfests on TV. (And why we are moved, if we are moved.)

Nadia Montenegro on joining other celebs in mounting a fundraising bazaar for sick and retired actors: “Richard Merk and Julio Diaz will be our first beneficiaries.” (Good job!)

Gerald Anderson, asked if it was awkward working with Bea Alonzo, whom he used to date: “Tingnan mo, nagba-blush ako ngayon.” (Uuuy! Rosy cheeks!)

Bea, asked if there’s a chance at rekindling an old flame: “It’s too early to tell… Right now, parang na-excite ako. Look at him … ang guwapo.” (Over!)

Nora Aunor on playing a mother of four special children who figure in a tragedy  in “Maalaala Mo Kaya”: “Napakasakit… Baka nagpatiwakal na ako kung ako talaga ’yun.” (Huwag po!)

Nora prays for the healing of her brother Eddie: “Sana, bumalik ang dati niyang sigla. Parang nagi-guilty rin ako, kasi parang napabayaan ko rin.” (Sob.)

Angeline Quinto on being accused of upstaging other singers: “Hurt ako, kasi hindi naman totoo.” (Move on na, gurl.)

Arci Muñoz on being rumored as the next Darna “Naku, ayoko munang magsalita.” (Kami rin, speechless.)

Jennylyn Mercado on her intimate scenes with John Lloyd Cruz: “Inalalayan ko siya! Kasi hindi kami matatapos.” (Bongga ka Jen!)

Marian Rivera on hosting a talk show, which, she admitted, is not her forte: “Wala naman sigurong masama kung ita-try ko.” (Trial and error ba ito?)

Marian on the coming Mother’s Day: “Forever thankful ako na naging nanay ako.” (You’re welcome!) TV Patrol, 24 Oras
