Mr. Know-It-All is a dimwit, after all

/ 12:01 AM April 27, 2016

It’s a stereotype, but Hunky Cutie turned out to be shallow and dim.

Alas, HC likes to pass himself off as someone sharp and witty. HC is a certified know-it-all.

During an out-of-town trip, HC pointedly lectured companions that a local delicacy is actually from his hometown.

A simple Google search, however, proved HC wrong. Still, HC insisted that he was correct. HC’s not only dull; he’s stubborn, too.

FEATURED STORIES

There is nothing more dangerous than an idiot who thinks he’s intelligent.

Smart aleck

Lovely Starlet can very well be the female version of HC.

During a splashy gathering, LS got impatient with the inane questions being thrown her way. LS dished out flippant answers in retaliation. LS thought she got away with being a smart aleck.

Veteran Insider, however, noticed that LS was being sarcastic all throughout the conversation.

Exasperated, VI walked out—ignoring LS’ endless monologue about her vapid existence.

Boycott

Popular Star got entangled in a nasty tiff during an event that was supposed to be a happy occasion. The skirmish got so ugly that PS was forced to burn bridges with former pals.

Now, PS has decided to boycott the same venture—especially if Incorrigible Nemesis is involved. Everything IN touches turns into a hot mess, PS’ supporters pointed out.

PS has learned the bitter truth the hard way.

Bosses’ pet

It was a bit too obvious that Influential Insiders stacked the deck in favor of Pretty Newcomer. PN was showered with all sorts of blessings that were clearly undeserved.

What gives?

Is it true that PN’s Glamorous Kin is the bosses’ current favorite? Giving PN a push would undoubtedly benefit GK’s present endeavors, as well.

It’s like hitting two beautiful birds with one stone.

Curie revisited

From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:

Remember the Thrifty Couple who could give Madame Curie (kuripot!) a run for her stinginess?

Is Controversial Celebrity related to TC?

CC refuses to part with cash and often relies on the caterers on the set for daily meals. If there’s no food at work, then CC would go on a forced diet.

That’s bad news to the family driver, who is also enjoined to go hungry by the frugal boss.

Top of the tabloids

This week’s top show biz news in the Inquirer tabloid Bandera (and why we are moved, if we are moved):

Liza Soberano on gifting Enrique Gil with a Flyboard worth $6,000: “He likes the feeling of flying. He wants to be Superman or Iron Man.” (How generous!)

Enrique to Liza, after getting his gift: “I’m really happy … I love you!” (Uuuuy!)

Nadine Lustre, asked how much she trusts James Reid: “One hundred and 10 percent!” (Check the figure. Over ’ata!)

Elmo Magalona on voting in a presidential election for the first time: “Mahalaga ’yun, responsibility natin ’yun.” (Vote wisely.)

Epy Quizon’s reminder for friends supporting different candidates: “Let’s not … quarrel. Let’s not make it personal.” (Spin-a-win!)

John Lloyd Cruz on what he has discovered about Jennylyn Mercado: “That she’s a fantastic singer. We went to a family KTV and she sang. Jaw-dropping.” (You can now pick up your jaw from the floor.)

Derrick Monasterio on working with Bea Binene: “Halos araw-araw na kaming magkasama. Kapag nagkikita kami hindi na nga kami nagbabatian. Pero once nag-umpisa na akong mangulit, tuluy-tuloy na hanggang gabi ’yun!” (That’s how it starts.)
