Filipino makes it to Cannes shorts tilt

FILIPINO Raymund Gutierrez made it as one of 10 finalists in the Short Film Competition of the 69th Cannes Film Festival, in France from May 11 to 22. Gutierrez’s “Imago” will compete with short films from Tunisia, United Kingdom, Spain, Colombia, Brazil, France, Romania, Italy and Sweden. Gutierrez was a student in Brillante Ma. Mendoza’s film workshop two years ago. In 2000, Raymond Red’s “Anino” won the Palme D’Or in Cannes’ short film section. Bayani San Diego Jr.
