Toni Gonzaga confirms pregnancy

TV host and actress Toni Gonzaga confirmed on Sunday that she is pregnant.
Gonzaga made the announcement during ABS-CBN’s musical variety show “ASAP.”
“I’m so happy that finally our love story ay nagbunga na, and yes, God finally opened my womb and I’m expecting my first child,” she said.
She said her sister Alex, who was with her on the stage, was the first one to know about the news.
“The first time I found out about this great news, si Alex ‘yung unang nakaalam. Siya ‘yung unang nakaalam sa lahat,” she said.
Rumors about her pregnancy surfaced last February, but the actress evaded answering directly.
Despite her pregnancy, Gonzaga said she will still push through with her commitments with the network.
“Gagawin pa din natin yung mga commitment natin, pero eventually medyo we will take it slow this time. Pero ah, I just wanna really enjoy the moment and it took me some time kasi I was waiting for my doctor’s approval, na it’s a go, that I can finally say ‘I’m pregnant!’” she said.
Gonzaga explained why she chose to break the news on ASAP.
“Mga kapamilya, ispesyal po sa puso ko ang ASAP kasi 2004 nung una po ako ni-launch bilang Kapamilya, dito ko po ‘yun ginawa sa ASAP. Nung first birthday ko dito sa ABS-CBN, dito ko din sinelebrate sa ASAP. First album ko, first movie at first time na sinelebrate yun engagement ko, dito ko rin po ginawa. And then nung ikakasal ako, dito ko din inannounce.”
Gonzaga and her husband director Paul Soriano tied the knot on June 2015. JE
