Summer filmmaking course at Mowelfund

THE MOWELFUND Film Institute is holding a 25-day summer filmmaking course from May 16 to June 11, Monday to Saturday, with hands-on excercises in digital filmmaking, particularly in scriptwriting, directing, production design, acting, cinematography, sound recording, editing, musical scoring, prosthetics and production management.

On April 17 at 3:30 p.m., “Art2Art” on dzRH and RHTV features the Sinag Maynila Film Festival, with Brillante Mendoza and Wilson Tieng being interviewed by program host-producer Lisa Macuja.

Ultimate Fandom Challenge

The show is titled “Tunog Alternatibo,” and the performing bands are Cujo, Red Light, The Lane Band and Psyko Barn.

At CinemaCon

Warner Bros. Pictures showcased an impressive lineup of talents and highly anticipated films at this year’s CinemaCon.
The studio’s presentation was highlighted by trailers of new releases and appearances by major stars and filmmakers involved in the new productions for 2016 release. They include “Suicide Squad” with Will Smith, “The Nice Guy” with Russell Crowe, “Me Before You” with Emilia Clarke, “The Conjuring 2,” “Lights Out,” “Central Intelligence” with Kevin Hart, “The Legend of Tarzan” and “War Dogs” with Bradley Cooper.
