ASIDE from the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra, local and foreign classical music acts are set to join Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli in his concert on April 26 at SM Mall of Asia Arena, according to show promoter Music Management International (call 4702222).
In the first half of the one-night show—part of Bocelli’s “Cinema of the World” tour—the classical crossover artist will be accompanied by the Ateneo Chamber Singers, as well as Mexican lyric soprano Maria Katzarava and Italian flutist Andrea Griminelli, in performing duets and arias from well-loved operas.
The second half of the show, meanwhile, will feature Bocelli’s hits and select tracks from his latest album, “Cinema.” He will share the spotlight with Filipino singer-actress Christine Allado, who was part of the ensemble of the West End stage musical, “Here Lies Love.” Allan Policarpio
