MANILA, Philippines – Authorities launched a manhunt Tuesday for the suspect in the killing of Ricky Pempengco, the estranged father of singer Charice Pempengco in San Pedro, Laguna Monday.
Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr, Philippine National Police spokesman, said that their officers have fanned out for the search of Angelo Capili Sr., who was once a resident of Barangay (village) Laram, where Pempengco’s father also lived.
Capili allegedly stabbed dead Pempengco who allegedly ignored him during his visit to Laram after being gone for five years.
The 39-year-old victim suffered puncture wounds in his back and chest, said Cruz.
