Actor Ahron Villena on Wednesday took to Instagram to clarify the real deal between him and actress-comedienne Kakai Bautista, who were rumored to be dating.
In his post, Villena referred to Bautista as his “best friend” several times, thanking her for everything that she has done for him, including a birthday surprise.
“I just wanna say thank you for the birthday surprise you did and thank you for bringing my family and my close friends. I really appreciate what you did and I was really surprised that night,” Villena said in the caption.
“I’m really happy to have you as my friend/best friend kasi andyan ka palagi (because you are always there) for me. ‘Pag may problema ako andyan ka para makinig sa’kin (Whenever I have problems, you are always there to listen),” he added.
Villena said many people misinterpreted their relationship, however, he told Bautista to “enjoy whatever we have now” and that he would always be there for his best friend.

“Alam kong madaming taong mali ang interpretation sa atin. Minsan ako masama, minsan ikaw. Basta mahalaga alam nating best friends tayo. ‘Yun ang importante. (I know many people misinterpreted our relationship. Sometimes, I am the bad person; sometimes, you are. What’s important is we know that we are best friends. That’s the important thing). Thank you for everything,” he said.
“Mahal kita alam mo ‘yan bilang kaibigan mo at bilang best friend mo. Lagi mo tandaan andito lang ako for you(I love you, you know that, as your friend and best friend. Always remember that I’m here for you.). Let’s just enjoy whatever we have now and be happy,” Villena added.
Meanwhile, Bautista lamented how many people assumed the real score on her relationship with Villena, however, she added that what they shared was real.
“Maraming tao ang nagsasalita pero wala naman talagang alam. Maraming taong nag-assume lang, nagtatanim ng kung anong idea sa mga utak nila tungkol sa atin (Many people are speaking [on the matter] but they don’t know a thing. They just assumed and creating ideas in their minds about us.). I hate it when people put pressure on people’s relationships even if they don’t know how it works,” Bautista said.
“Pero ang alam ko lang, totoo kung ano mang meron tayo. Dahil masarap maging best friend mo. Alam kong maraming hindi makakaintindi pero ang importante nagkakaintindihan tayo.
(All I know is what we have is real. It’s so wonderful to be your best friend. I know many people don’t understand but what’s important is we understand each other.)
“Ang mag-best friends lang ang hindi nagbebreak. Di ba nga? Mahal kita. Wag kang ano,” she added.
(Only best friends don’t break up. Right? I love you.) RAM
