Movers and shakers
WIKIPEDIA describes public relations as “a strategic communication process that builds mutual beneficial relationships between organizations and the public.” In the Philippines, one of the oldest PR organizations is the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP).
It was established in 1957 to unite its practitioners, encourage continuing education and high standards of public service, and strengthen relationships of public relations professionals with various stakeholders. Its movers and shakers include some of the country’s most seasoned PR practitioners.
Through the years, the PRSP has organized the PR Students’ Congress, the Professional Development Event for young PR practitioners, the PR Congress and the Anvil Awards.
The group’s new set of officers for 2016-2017 includes ex-officio president Bong Osorio, a progressive leader who was able to procure a permanent office for PRSP in Makati.
