Finding true love and happiness
LAST WEEK, the world celebrated Valentine’s Day in unique ways. Here are love-related superstitions and practices that are interesting to look at, and our notes about them:
In some countries, a young woman may receive a gift of clothing from a prospective suitor. If the gift is kept, it means she has accepted his proposal of marriage. (Dangerous.)
If an individual thinks of five names considered to be suitable marriage partners and twists the stem of an apple while the names are being recited, it is believed that the eventual spouse will be the one whose name was recited at the moment the stem broke. (Use wisdom and intelligence rather than coincidence and superstition!)
To be awakened by a kiss on Valentine’s Day is considered lucky. (Your connection with the Supreme Friend will bring you the greatest joy and fortune.)
On Valentine’s Day, the name of the first guy you read in the papers or hear on TV or the radio will be the name of the man you’ll marry. (First thing in the morning, pray so that you’ll be protected by the Greatest Lover!)
If you see a flock of doves on Valentine’s Day, you will have a happy and peaceful marriage. (If you experience spiritual love and wisdom, you’ll find genuine happiness.)

In South Korea, they call it Black Day—on which the single people who didn’t receive any gift on Valentine’s Day or White Day get together to eat a dish made of white Korean noodles with black bean sauce—considered either a consolation dinner or mourning for being single! (Happiness is not dependent on man’s attachments and affiliations. If you have spiritual love, you’ll find happiness whether you have a spouse or not!)
