Scottish group Chvrches headlines the 2016 GoodVybes Fest on Saturday at Aseana Open Grounds in Parañaque City.

The 2016 GoodVybes Fest, an all-night musical event that puts the spotlight on electronic, synth-pop, indie rock and dance music, will gather some of those genres’ biggest acts, both international and local, tomorrow, Feb. 20, at the Aseana Open Grounds in Parañaque City.

Leading the roster are the indie-electronic bands Passion Pit and Chvrches, which are both expected to dish out 90-minute sets.

Fronted by the sweet-voiced Lauren Mayberry, Chvrches, the Scottish group behind the songs “The Mother We Share” and “Gun,” first performed in Manila in 2014.

The American band Passion Pit, on the other hand, was originally scheduled to play in the country in August last year, but had to reschedule because its lead vocalist, Michael Angelakos, was suffering from pneumonia and bronchitis. Now, the group is set to regal the local crowd with such fan favorites as “Take a Walk” and “Sleepyhead.”

Joining the two headliners in the festival, which will feature a two-stage setup, are the British alt-pop duo Oh Wonder, Malaysian electro-pop band Tenderfist, as well as DJs Busy P, Darius and MYD.

The local music scene, meanwhile, will be represented by Kjwan, Brigada, Brisom, Moonwlk, Mulan, Assembly Generals, Samantha Nicole, Pelvis Relsey and the Sex Offender, and BP Valenzuela.

Aside from the music, GoodVybes Fest will likewise feature a food market and various activity booths. Call 8919999 or visit vybeproductions.com.
