Russell Peters, the Canadian standup comic famous for his irreverent style of observational humor that pokes fun at racial stereotypes, will hold a one-night show, mounted by Midas Promotions, on Feb. 22 at  Kia Theatre, as part of his ongoing “Almost Famous” world tour (call 911-5555).

Hailed as Forbes’ fourth highest-earning comic, Peters also loves engaging in some improvisational banters and good-natured ribbing with fans in the audience—one of his show staples.

“I use the interaction to take me from bit to bit. Some guys go onstage with a script and don’t deviate from it. That’s not my style—it’s very collaborative, and each show is unique,” said Peters, who has sold out arenas in Sydney, London, Singapore, Toronto and New York. Allan Policarpio
