Show biz personality Ai Ai de las Alas provided comic relief on Tuesday during United Nationalist Alliance’s proclamation rally by inviting Vice President Jejomar Binay, Sen. Gringo Honasan, and Rep. Manny Pacquiao to dance with her on stage.

In welcoming Binay, De las Alas said the Vice President was among the few who visited her when her mother died on New Year’s Eve.

She said she did not receive any talent fee to perform at the proclamation rally.

“Mamatay man ako ngayon. O, tingnan niyo, buhay pa rin. Ibig sabihin, totoo,” De las Alas said, drawing laughter from the crowd of slum-dwellers at Welfareville compound, Mandaluyong City.

Dancing to Jennifer Lopez’s song “Live It Up,” De las Alas jumped while dancing wildly before asking Binay to dance with her.

He gamely stood up and danced—or marched like a soldier—beside De las Alas.

The comedienne then asked to dance with Binay’s vice president Gringo Honasan who showed his moves by clapping his hands and thrusting his hips forward and backward.

When it was time for Pacquiao to dance, the senatorial candidate showed a fighting pose with his clenched fists, drawing laughter from the crowd.

Other performers in Binay’s proclamation rally are Honasan’s daughter-in-law Barbie Almalbis, his daughter Kai, the Foreignoys, and senatorial bet Alma Moreno’s children Win Wyn and VJ.

The two, who danced as their mother was introduced on stage, twerked to the song “Twerk it like Miley.”

Moreno’s son Vandolph Quizon also accompanied her on stage.

Members of UNA’s senatorial slate who were at the proclamation were Moreno, Pacquiao, Rep. Martin Romualdez, Allan Montaño, sacked Special Action Force Commander Getulio Napeñas, Princess Jacel Kiram, Rey Langit, Susan Ople and Richard “Dick” Gordon and Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri.

Absent in the proclamation rally were reelectionist Sen. Vicente “Tito” Sotto III and Panfilo “Ping” Lacson. RC
