Big Bang tops Oricon chart with ‘MADE Series’
K-pop idol group Big Bang topped the Oricon Daily Albums chart and Japanese iTunes chart with its new album “MADE Series,” the group’s agency YG Entertainment said Thursday.
Big Bang’s new album sold 80,262 copies Wednesday, the day of its release, the agency added.
The album is a compilation of a monthly series from last year that started with “M” in May and continued to August when “E” was released in August. It was released only in Korea.
The new album for the Japanese market contains eight songs — “If You,” “Sober,” “Zutter,” “Let’s Not Fall in Love,” “Bang Bang Bang,” “Loser,” “BAE BAE” and “We like 2 party” — that were featured in the original album released in Korea last year, along with the Japanese-language versions of “Loser,” “Bang Bang Bang” and “If You.”
Big Bang will appear on TV Asahi’s music show “Music Station” to perform “Bang Bang Bang” and “Fantastic Baby” on Feb. 5 and on a TBS program on Feb. 8.
