“I don’t think she’s quite over it.”
This was how TV host Ellen DeGeneres introduced a parody of the first meeting of Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez and Steve Harvey since he erroneously announced her as the winner of the 2015 Miss Universe in December.
Harvey apologized to Gutierrez and the Philippines’ Pia Wurtzbach, the rightful Miss Universe, but did not meet with them after the pageant until last week, when he sat down with the two women for separate one-on-one interviews.
Wurtzbach said that she had forgiven Harvey and that it was time for them to just move forward from the controversy.

Gutierrez, meanwhile, discussed the aftermath of the mix-up which she said, had been humiliating for her and other Latinos. She, however, also forgave Harvey, even joking with him that he probably wanted her to win the contest so he announced her name.

While the conversation between the two was amicable, DeGeneres on her show “Ellen” came up with a spoof of the two’s meeting with Gutierrez kicking Harvey in the groin and throwing him behind the sofa.
Mainstream and online media have been a goldmine of memes and parodies of the pageant, which was seen by millions on TV worldwide.
Earlier this month, the People’s Choice Award spoofed the gaffe with “Miss Colombia” finally winning an award against previously-announced victor, comedian Thomas Lennon. IDL
