SHE WILL divulge details about her wedding —once it happens.

It wasn’t a wedding, but merely a belated engagement celebration. After a two-week holiday in December in Argentina, where she supposedly married her fiancé, Nico Bolzico, Solenn Heussaff recently faced the entertainment press and insisted that no vows were exchanged, despite a handful of photos online suggesting otherwise.

“No, it hasn’t happened yet. We didn’t go to a church… I didn’t have a wedding dress… We simply chose to celebrate in Argentina because I have not seen his parents in two years,” said the actress, who has always preferred to keep her personal life private, at a press conference for her upcoming movie “Lakbay2Love.”

“I am still single, technically,” Solenn said, giggling. “I am still a Heussaff.”

FEATURED STORIES

Looking at the “snaps” posted on the photo-video messaging app Snapchat by actress Isabelle Daza, one of Solenn’s close friends who went with her on vacation, it did seem like a wedding took place. A photo showing the couple was captioned, “Mr. and Mrs. Bolzico;” another one of a table set outdoors said, “rustic-style wedding.”

Asked about the intriguingly captioned photos, Solenn jested, “Loka-loka ’yang si Isabelle.” She added that Nico was amused by earlier reports claiming that they were already married. “He and his mom were laughing because they saw it in a newspaper. It was funny,” she said.

Likewise raising the suspicions of curious netizens was the presence of Solenn’s family and friends Isabelle, Anne Curtis and Georgina Wilson in the trip, which included an excursion to Patagonia.

“There were no invites… They got wind of our plans—and it became a barkada vacation,” related Solenn, who has been living together with Nico for the past five years. “We all went hiking, horseback riding and white water rafting.”

The Filipino-French Kapuso talent plans to tie the knot with Nico in France and invite around 200 guests. That was all she was willing to disclose during the media gathering. Solenn, however, assured the press that she would divulge details about her wedding—once it does finally happen.

Meanwhile, in director Ellen Marfil’s “Lakbay2Love” (in cinemas on Feb. 3), an environment-themed film that had Solenn biking in scenic spots in the La Mesa Watershed in Quezon City, Timberland Heights in Rizal and the lush mountain trails of Benguet, the actress portrays a videographer working on a feature on climate change. She related, “I have rediscovered the joys of riding a bike—and I got to see many beautiful sites!”

Solenn’s leading man is Dennis Trillo, with whom she previously worked in the movie “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” in 2011. “He is talented, handsome and professional. He does not gossip on the set, which I respect,” she said. “At times, he would arrive on the set from other engagements without sleep. But he always gave his all!”
