As most graduates of “StarStruck”—or any reality talent search, for that matter—would say, the real competition begins after the show. Because this time around, there wouldn’t be a team of  coaches guiding their every step; they would be slugging it out, not for a gaggle of prizes, but for actual roles and gigs, against the rest of show biz.

It’s a daunting prospect, no doubt, for both Klea Pineda and Migo Adecer, who were hailed Ultimate Survivors of “StarStruck” Season 6 after besting Ayra Mariano and Elyson de Dios, respectively, in the show’s grand finals.

But by keeping their focus and faith, Klea and Migo, both 16, hope to sustain the momentum and succeed in the biz. The newbies talked to the Inquirer in an e-mail interview:

Klea: Aside from honing my skills in acting, dancing and singing, I was able to give my confidence a boost… I now believe that as long I want it, I can do it! I also learned to be more disciplined and responsible, especially with my health and time management.  You should be focused and determined, but at the same time, maintain good relationships with people.

Migo: “StarStruck” has enhanced my dedication toward my craft. It showed me that the industry isn’t all about fun and games; that it’s also a very tough job. I learned the value of teamwork.

How do you plan to celebrate your victory?

Klea: I will hear Mass and visit my Papang (grandfather) in the cemetery… he’s been one of my biggest inspirations!

I plan to celebrate this win with the people who never left me since the first day of this special journey. I would love to return to my hometown in Arayat, Pampanga, so I can thank all my cabalen.

Migo: I celebrated my victory at church with my family. I’ll also have a fans’ day to thank all the people who supported me.

The real test comes now that you’re in show biz. How do you plan to keep up?

Klea: I’ll apply the things I’ve learned from the show. I’ll stay focused on improving my craft and understand all the lessons that come my way.

Migo: No matter how hard things get or how stressed I become, I’ll lean on God—I believe He won’t give us tasks that we can’t do!
