How Gabby defies aging

Gabby Concepcion’s  latest teleserye, “Because of You,” marks the first time the ’80s heartthrob topbills a drama series for the Kapuso network—as Carla Abellana’s leading man!

Directed by Mark Reyes, the show appeals to Gabby because it’s a light drama with some comedy in it. He plays an RTW magnate, while Carla is his employee, Andrea (Abellana), who was left at the altar by Rafael Rosell’s character. When she falls in love with her boss, however, Rafael tries to win her back!

Gabby turned 51 last Nov. 7, but he has maintained his good looks. How has he managed to do it? “I drink plenty of water and work out regularly,” he shares. “For me, dieting is hard, because my metabolism isn’t as fast as it used to be. I moisturize a lot, which works well with my skin. Actors owe it to our fans to look good!”

Will his reunion movie with ex-wife Sharon push through? He replies, “I really look forward to it. They’re still looking for the right material—I hope they find it soon!”
