The people behind the blockbuster historical film “Heneral Luna” greeted their fans in the goriest way possible.

The film about the hot-headed General Antonio Luna features gory scenes depicting the atrocities of the Philippines-American war. In its social media accounts, the film’s production posted a short video of one of its war scenes: a head being blown off by a flying cannon.

“Umiwas sa paputok ngayong bagong taon. Isang paalala mula kay Heneral Luna (Avoid fireworks this new year. A friendly reminder from General Luna),” a text in the video said.

The ‘Heneral Luna’ twitter account also posted a tweet: “Salubungin ang 2016 na kumpleto ang iyong katawan (Greet the New Year with your body intact).”
