Actress Claudine Barretto on Monday took to Instagram to share a handwritten love letter from her former boyfriend and on-screen partner, late actor Rico Yan.

“We @tinamarieyan miss u terribly,” Barretto said in the caption of the post, which also featured a photo of the loveteam.

Yan’s letter read: “To my hunny, By the time you read this, I must be in CDO already. Just want to thank you for last night. You were wonderful!!! And because of that, I’m sure I’m gonna have a hard time sleeping without you by my side tonight. But nevertheless, I still love you very much!”

As of writing, the post has garnered more than 16,500 likes and 1,300 comments.

Yan passed away in March 2002 while on vacation at Dos Palmas Resort in Puerto Princesa, Palawan due to hemorrhagic pancreatitis.

Barretto spent Christmas with her husband Raymart Santiago and kids Sabina and Santino. YG
