This romantic-comedy flick marks the big screen debut of “AlDub,” the phenomenal screen tandem of actor Alden Richards and Internet sensation-turned-celebrity Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza.
Alden portrays Dondi, the nephew of Cora, a successful events specialist (Ai-Ai), who’s embroiled in a professional rivalry with Vito (Vic).
Dondi falls in love with Vito’s daughter, Anna (Maine). The warring elders connive to stop the young couple’s blossoming romance.
Things turn tricky, however, when Vito and Cora’s relationship unexpectedly grows deeper. Now, it’s Dondi and Anna’s turn to express disapproval.
With the immense success of AlDub, not a few show biz observers predict that the film will dominate the box-office race. But Vic would rather not get complacent. “What I’m confident about is that it’s a good, feel-good movie… filled with good vibes,” he said.
