Carlo Katigbak new ABS-CBN president

ABS-CBN Corp. announced the appointment of Carlo L. Katigbak as its new president and chief executive officer effective Jan. 1, 2016.

Charo Santos-Concio, who will retire as president and CEO on Dec. 31, will continue to serve the company as chief content officer, president of ABS-CBN University, and executive adviser to the chair. Eugenio Lopez III remains the chair of the ABS-CBN board.

Katigbak has 20 years of combined experience in financial management and business operations, corporate planning and general management.

Prior to his appointment as chief operating officer in March, Katigbak was the head of Access. He helped pave the company’s forays into new ventures and managed the operations of Sky Cable, ABS-CBNmobile and ABS-CBN TVplus.
