Julie Cuevas, retired teacher: “Susan Roces is as visible as ever—she’s one of the busiest stars of her generation nowadays. She’s recognizable, even on billboards. On weeknights, she plays the doting lola to Coco Martin’s character in ‘Ang Probinsiyano.’ I’m amazed at how great she still looks after all these years. Truly, this remarkable woman deserves all the best!”
Other notes:
Meanne Mijares, events planner: “I would not be surprised if ‘A Second Chance’ will be followed by another sequel—this time about the main characters raising a family, handling parenthood issues, midlife crisis management, etc. Surely, this’ll keep the creative juices of the production team behind it flowing—to make sure that its momentum is sustained!”
Lydia Cuevas, televiewer: “An instructive lesson for Mr. International 2014 and aspiring actor Neil Perez was seen in a recent telecast of ‘Princess in the Palace,’ where he shared a scene with Boots Anson-Roa. ‘When the camera was focused on Roa, it was smooth sailing—but when it was Neil’s turn, he had a blank face, which was made more apparent during his dialogue-free reaction shots. If he wants to do well as an actor, Neil should take more or better acting workshops.”
Eireen Margaret Ngan, housewife: “My favorite GMA 7 shows are ‘Buena Familia’ in the afternoon, and ‘Little Nanay’ in the evening. Of course, I am also entertained by ‘Eat Bulaga’s’ ‘kalyeserye’ from Monday to Saturday, as well as the Sunday show, ‘PinaSaya.’”
