Nyoy Volante is one of my favorite people in the biz. In my book, he is the rightful winner of ABS-CBN’s “Your Face Sounds Familiar Season 1,” even if he was just named first runner-up.
I am forever grateful to him for always gamely jamming with True Faith in my parties. Now, it is his turn to party as he eagerly awaits to get hitched to his fiancée, stage actress Mikkie Bradshaw, in February 2016 at Manila Cathedral. Their wedding will have an ethereal garden theme. The cool couple’s “rustic vintage-themed” prenuptial shoot by Nice Print Photography was done in Intramuros and La Cocina de Tita Moning.
Nyoy and Mikkie’s love story began while they were doing the play “Rock of Ages.” Their “happy ever after” is just a few heartbeats away.

What made you realize that Mikkie is the one?
You just know because everything works.
How has Mikkie redefined love for you?
It’s indescribable. You get lost for words trying to define a great relationship, but it’s definitely… where love has developed into something so great, you’d want to seal it with marriage.
How do you and Mikkie handle arguments?
We argue like everybody else. The willingness to resolve problems is what we take pride in.
If your love story with Mikkie would be made into a song, what would the title be?
“Been Here.”
Polo’s back
After undergoing major surgery, Polo Ravales has gotten his groove back. He portrays one of the bad guys in “Angela Markado” (opens Dec. 2). The actor’s medical emergency taught him many lessons. “I realized that God has a purpose for the pain I endured. Anything can happen to us anytime,” he muses. “It’s only our faith in God and our family that we can hold on to. Everything else is fleeting. It has made me appreciate life more and inspired me to work with more passion!”
Polo is now an intensified version of himself.
