Loud applause greeted the arrival of Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta at the press con of their latest teleserye, “You’re My Home.” Their presence drew more attention than the young members of the cast, including Jessy Mendiola, JC de Vera and Sam Concepcion.

Love team magic still works for the likable couple who first starred together in “Hihintayin Kita Sa Langit” 24 years ago. Their last TV series, “Walang Hanggan,” was so successful that it encouraged the Kapamilya network to conceptualize another soap for them.

Richard admits, “Dawn and I still get in touch, because we have remained good friends.” On the other hand, Dawn says that they share with their young costars whatever acting tips they got from the veterans who came before them. She stresses the importance of professionalism in actors’ pursuit of longevity.

“You’re My Home” tells the story of the Fontanilla family, as seen through the eyes of the eldest daughter, Grace, following the disappearance of her brother, Vince—12 years ago.
