MMFF: ‘Hermano Puli’ out, ‘Conman’ in

Dominic Du, executive committee member of the Metro Manila Film Festival, told the Inquirer that Gil Portes’ “Hermano Puli” has pulled out of the December event. Du said that Erik Matti’s “Conman,” also known as “Honor Thy Father,” will take over the slot vacated by “Puli.” “Honor Thy Father” premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it received a favorable review from the Hollywood Reporter, last September.
