Upbeat song for Anthony Castelo’s birth city

CASTELO. Writes and records “Enjoy sa QC.”

Anthony Castelo has composed and recorded “Enjoy sa QC,” a song dedicated to the city of his birth, Quezon City.

The upbeat single will be released in time for the city’s 75th anniversary this month.

The veteran balladeer grew up in the Tomas Morato area. In the l960s, the place was called Sampaloc ave. because the whole stretch was dotted with large sampaloc trees.

Castelo studied at St. Joseph’s college (elementary), Trinity College (high school) and the University of the Philippines (college)—all located in Quezon City.

He is the singer behind the hit songs, “Balatkayo,” “Nang Dahil Sa Pag-ibig” and “Hahanapin Ko.”
