The third trailer of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” the seventh installment of the franchise, has debuted online.
According to reports, the trailer had its premiere during the game between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles on ESPN on Monday night (US time).
The debut of the trailer also coincided with the start of the selling of tickets for its US premiere.
Before the trailer was released online, the official poster of Star Wars: The Force Awakens was revealed by Disney last Sunday.
The latest trailer opens with Rey (played by Daisy Ridley) exploring a wrecked starship. It also showed shots of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) addressing Darth Vader’s helmet and vowing to finish what he started. The trailer also gave a glimpse of Han Solo, Chewbacca and Leia.
The film will be shown in theaters worldwide starting on December 18. AJH/RAM
