Have a nostalgic weekend at the country’s only heritage resort by the sea, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, on Oct. 31, as singer Lani Misalucha serenades guests in “Harana.”
Filipino chanteuse Misalucha, dubbed “Asia’s Nightingale,” is known for her 1990s song “Ang Iibigin ay Ikaw,” written by Jimmy Borja. It was a finalist at the Metro Manila Popular Music Festival tilt and later received the Awit Award for record of the year.
The artist also became the first Asian to headline in a main showroom of the Las Vegas Strip, performing with Hawaii’s Society of Seven at the Jubilee Theatre of Bally’s and at the main showroom of the Flamingo. Misalucha, at the time, already had eight studio albums, four live albums and three compilation albums.
“Harana” will be held at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar’s newly opened Hotel de Oriente Convention Center, a replica of the first luxurious hotel in Manila. Spread over 400 hectares, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar features a collection of Spanish colonial buildings and stone houses. It is located in Bagac, Bataan, easily accessible via NLEX and SCTEX.
Aside from Misalucha’s performance, guests will enjoy a four-course dinner in the midst of the picturesque hall featuring Filipino crafts and artworks.
“Harana’s” musical director is Mel Villena, while musical accompaniment is provided by the AMP Band.
Tickets for two are available for P20,000, with overnight room accommodation from Oct. 31 to Nov. 1, dinner, set breakfast, guided heritage tour, and pool and beach access. Also available are tickets for the dinner and show for only P10,000 per person.
