Vociferous celeb torn between two camps

VOCIFEROUS Celeb is seriously deluded.

In VC’s mind, two High-profile Personalities were dangling tempting offers for a major venture.

Well, HP1 was initially raring to shell out cash to secure VC’s loyalty. Alas, HP1 backed out after sensing that VC was a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic basket. Yup, VC is too unpredictable for HP1.

HP2, however, made the mistake of luring VC away from HP1. Apparently, HP2 was unaware that VC had been dumped by HP1.

File under LC, for loose cannon.

Mudslinging season

Mudslinging season is not limited to the political realm.

In Show Town, Attack Dogs were chasing after Handsome Heartthrob. ADs tried to unearth incriminating secrets from the past, but that endeavor led nowhere.

ADs later turned to Lovely Novice. ADs dredged up unsavory statements made by LN online years ago.

As if ADs’ own stable of stars were purity personified.

Mud was slung in cyberspace.

Pop hits

The aforementioned ADs of Top Firm are now singing a ditty popularized by the band Queen.

ADs are “Under Pressure” to churn out disparaging posts and tweets against the competition.

Some ADs are on the verge of a nervous breakdown, said a source.

If it’s any consolation, these ADs should be grateful that they are not belting out another British band Culture Club’s hit, “Karma Chameleon.”

Has Ms Karma Martin caught up with the ADs yet?

Spinning wars

According to a source, Spin Doctor 1 is spreading the rumor that Big Bosses were unhappy with Spin Doctor 2’s unorthodox methods.

SD2’s retort was short and not-so-sweet. SD2 exclaimed: “Why is it that I still have a job, unlike SD1?”

Ouch!

Duck, this spinning war can get out of control.

Monsieur Curie

From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:

Cute Charmer is known as Monsieur Curie, short for kuripot or stingy, in the biz.

CC allegedly gifted Material Ex-girlfriend with a fake piece of jewelry.

Now, CC is romancing Successful Sweetheart who often receives all sorts of cheap, dust-gathering stuffed toys from the guy. Luckily, SS has no need for worldly things.

After all, SS is wealthier than CC.

Here’s hoping that CC will save up for a real gem when it’s time to propose to SS.

EMPRESS Schuck’s baby Athalia

Empress’ princess

GMA 7 actress Empress Schuck gave birth to a baby girl on Sunday afternoon—after being in labor for 26 hours.

“She first went into labor at 11 a.m. on Saturday and gave birth at 1 p.m. the following day,” recalled Becky Aguila, Schuck’s manager.

The baby, who will be named Athalia, weighs 7 pounds and is 9.5 inches long.

“At first, Empress had difficulty, but things went smoothly,” Aguila told Rushes. “Her family was with her in the labor room—including boyfriend Vino Guingona.”

War of the tweets

Twitter became the battleground for the network wars, as “Eat Bulaga” (aired on GMA 7) and “It’s Showtime” (on ABS-CBN) marked milestones on Saturday.

“Eat Bulaga” celebrated National Pabebe Wave Day, while “It’s Showtime” threw a big bash at Smart Araneta Coliseum for the noontime show’s sixth anniversary.

XIAN Lim (left) and Kim Chiu were among the entertainers featured in Saturday’s “It’s Showtime.”

“It’s Showtime” lined up its “hottest” love teams: KathNiel (Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla), JaDine (James Reid and Nadine Lustre) and LizQuen (Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil). Also at the Big Dome was KimXi (Kim Chiu and Xian Lim).

“Eat Bulaga,” on the other hand, had only AlDub (Alden Richards and Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza).

KAPAMILYA love teams grace the Araneta stage for the anniversary of “It’s Showtime” (from left): Nadine Lustre, James Reid, Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil.

ABS-CBN announced that the anniversary show “earned more than 6 million tweets.”

“Eat Bulaga’s” kalyeserye breached the 25-million mark in 24 hours—posting 1 million tweets per hour.

Alternative pageant in QC

Nikki Normanson, a BPO training specialist, was recently declared the first titleholder of the Queen of Quezon City pageant. It was staged by the local government and community group Quezon City Pride Council. The tilt for gay and trans citizens was empowered by the historic Gender Fairness Ordinance (Ordinance No. 2357), which is an antidiscriminatory measure for the protection of the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community.

Normanson bested 24 candidates in the alternative beauty contest. The event was graced by LGBT personalities, beauty queens, and Quezon City officials led by Mayor Herbert Bautista.

Top of the Talk Shows

For those who missed last weekend’s “CelebriTV” on GMA 7 (and why we are moved, if we are moved):

Kris Aquino, asked what she wants for Christmas: “For P-Noy’s candidate to win.” (To be specific …?)

Sheryl Cruz on rumors that she’s being used to malign her cousin Sen. Grace Poe: “Masyadong mataas ang talent fee ko para udyuk-udyukin nila.” (Bongga ka ’Day!)

SARAH Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez (with son Zion) are in no hurry to get hitched. Leo M. Sabangan II

Sarah Lahbati, asked when she and Richard Gutierrez plan to get married: “We might just surprise you. We’re not in a rush. We’re enjoying Zion, who’s growing up so fast. Darating din kami diyan sa tamang panahon.” (Sounds like they are also heeding Lola Nidora’s advice.)

Alden Richards on the letter he received from Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza: “Mas nakilala ko siya dahil doon.” (As the song goes: “Getting to know you …”)

Alden on why he cried as he serenaded Yaya Dub: “Overwhelmed with emotions. ’Di pa rin kami magsasawang magpasalamat sa inyo kasi kayo ’yung nagiging lakas namin.” (There should be a moratorium on the use of the word “overwhelmed.”)

Alden, asked what the fans can still expect from “AlDub”: “Marami pa po kayong aabangan. Sobrang dami pa!” (To be continued …)

Joey de Leon, asked where “AlDub” is headed: “Isang biyaya ’yan mula sa langit. Kung saan pupunta ito, hindi namin alam … Pero hindi namin bibitawan ’yan.” (It was a shot in the arm of a 36-year-old TV institution.)

Ai-Ai de las Alas on making people laugh despite having personal problems: “Iniisip ko na ’yung talent binigay sa ’kin ng Diyos, na may binibigay din naman na nakakapagpasaya sa ’kin.” (Comedians have no time for drama.)
