DAZA. Thanksgiving exhibit.
After decades of expending words, words, words, the journalist and author of “Etiquette for Mistresses,” Jullie Y. Daza, turns to another medium: Photography.
“I’m not challenging Mandy Navasero,” she told me three weeks ago, “I just want to be like you, shooting pictures to let them do the talking. —And having fun, like flirting!”
Her exhibit, “Candid in Beijing: Ping-Pong, People, Parks, and Peaches,” goes on view Sept. 22-24 at LRI Design Plaza, 210 Nicanor Garcia st. (formerly Reposo), Bel-Air II, Makati City. Jullie has invited Sen. Cynthia Villar and Stephen Techico to cut the ribbon.
She lost her camera in Beijing, but airport authorities found it 24 hours later. Jullie relates, “The exhibit is some kind of a thanksgiving, because I really love that little black box which, beside your photo equipment, looks like a toy camera. But, for the moment, it just happens to be my favorite toy!”
