Former movie and TV director Nards Belen died of heart failure on Thursday, according to his wife, Crispina. He was 77.
The last movie he directed was “Pinoy Super Kid” (2012), starring Buboy Villar. He was in the cast of “The Lilian Velez Story: Till Death Do Us Part” (1995).
Belen was also a scriptwriter, author of inspirational books and novels, as well as an entertainment writer.
Belen is survived by his wife Crispina, two children Walden and Lester, and five grandchildren.
His wake is at the Loyola Columbary on Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City. Marinel R. Cruz
