COLEEN Garcia discussed onscreen love scenes with her boyfriend.

COLEEN Garcia, who took on her most daring role yet in “Ex With Benefits,” insisted that she didn’t exactly go bold in this sultry new drama film directed by Gino M. Santos—who was also her director in the Cinemalaya film “#Y” last year.

“I don’t think I can show my private parts on-screen,” the 22-year-old actress said.

Coleen admitted that she did several sexy scenes with leading man Derek Ramsay, though. “I’m thankful that my first love scenes were with Derek. He is such a professional. He guided me during the filming,” she recalled.

Too technical

Coleen related: “Love scenes look sexy on the big screen, but doing those sequences can be very technical. The blocking was complicated and we were concerned with camera angles all the time. We couldn’t possibly get carried away on the set. It was hard work.”

Coleen said she was also concerned about current boyfriend Billy Crawford’s reaction to those steamy scenes.

“We discussed them in detail. I described what Derek and I did. Billy promised not to comment … although he did ask questions. I replied with either ‘yes’ or ‘no.’”

She pointed out that Billy was secure enough not to need any assurance from her.

Coleen and Billy are part of the ABS-CBN noontime program “It’s Showtime!”

“When it comes to work, we know each other so well. He supports me all the way,” she said. “I understand that it’s impossible not to feel jealous … but he never lets this get in the way of work. To promote the film, he even posted pictures online. I was so touched by the gesture.”

Coleen also plays Jamie, one of the lead characters in the Kapamilya drama series “Pasion de Amor.”

“‘Pasion’ is very sensual, but my role isn’t. She is the youngest and the most naïve of the siblings,” she explained.

Assessing her show biz career so far, Coleen said: “I feel so blessed … I can’t complain about anything. I won’t dare change anything because I’m getting a lot more than I asked for. I just pray for guidance. I always say that if a project is meant for me, then it would push through.”

She remains optimistic. “I want to be open to doing different things at the same time. Right now, ‘Pasion’ keeps me busy. I want to focus on this show first before committing to another project.”
