Pope Francis play keeps his message and mission ardently alive

Last January, millions of Filipinos fell in love with and were spiritually heartened and enlightened by Pope Francis when he visited Tacloban and Manila for five days.

After he left, many have tried to keep the love alive and to continue to transform their lives—not an easy thing to do, due to the many distractions of modern life.

To help make Pope Francis’ transformative and moving message and mission a continuing and living presence, writer-director Nestor Torre and producer Rose Cabrera have come up with a moving religious production and recollection, “(From the Vatican to Tacloban)—With Love, Pope Francis,” to be presented at the Mabuhay Restop Theater and Travel Cafe at Rizal Park (near the Quirino grandstand) this September and October.

The insightful play with music dramatically recalls Pope Francis’ visit to the survivors of Typhoon Yolanda, with the pontiff and the disaster’s survivors interacting with each other, and learning valuable life lessons from one another.

Intimate presentation

Preview viewers have lauded the intimate presentation for capturing Pope Francis’ unique essence and love for the poor and suffering, which motivated him to come from the other side of the world to share in the survivors’ burden and pain.

The memorable play with music topbills acclaimed actor-singer Dio Marco as Pope Francis, Jonas Santos, Shiela Asuncion, Albert Jimenez and Ashia Asuncion.

Prospective show buyers are invited to call Rose Cabrera at 359-7927 or 0917 810-8194 to 95, or e-mail info@ mabuhayrestops.com. “With Love, Pope Francis” will also be performed in Tacloban and environs in October.
