Sultry starlet remains unpaid for services rendered

12:25 AM August 12, 2015

TALK about exploitation. Being a team player, Sultry Starlet agreed to start work on a project even before it could get off the ground.

SS remained gung ho. To think, SS has yet to receive payment for services rendered.

As luck would have it, the venture was put on the back burner.

Will SS ever receive her fee?

FEATURED STORIES

Panic buying

Perhaps the decision to put Scandalous Personality as front-liner in a project was precisely meant to generate intrigue.

Unfortunately, the plan backfired and was greeted by one huge yawn.

Without skipping a beat, SP dispatched minions to patronize the floundering project.

SP wants to alter the results before the truth is exposed. SP’s latest gimmick flopped miserably.

Sinking ship

It was a beleaguered enterprise from the get-go. Soon enough, High-profile Project was hit by all sorts of problems—big and small.

After Major Supporter threatened to quit, Top Financier similarly decided to pull out of the sinking ship.

At press time, an insider denied the crisis—adding that since nothing is official yet, it’s business unusual for HP.

Fatal partnership

Speaking of partnerships that are doomed from the start:

Handlers are fanning the flames to spread rumors of a supposed romance between Controversial Celeb and Handsome Hunk.

CC and HH have something in common, though.

They are both on top of the hit list of Vociferous Insider. HH used to be close to VI, that’s why.

By hooking up with HH, CC just sparked a relentlessly scathing multimedia hate campaign, courtesy of VI.

Backslide

From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:

Friends have given up on Grizzled Starlet, who is back to old ways, hooked on illicit substances. GS would frequently pester colleagues for financial assistance, claiming the loan was meant to pay household bills. But peers knew better and were certain GS would spend the money on drugs.

No one believes GS, the junkie who cried wolf.

Top of the Talk Shows

For those who missed last weekend’s “Startalk” on GMA 7 (and why we are moved, if we are moved):

Jennylyn Mercado, asked if it’s hard to remain faithful in show business: “Kahit nasaang industriya ka, walang dahilan para maging unfaithful kung totoo ang pagmamahal mo.” (Spin-a-win! How do we like this statement a thousand times?)

AI-AI de las Alas

AI-AI de las Alas

Ai-Ai de las Alas, asked if bashers bother her: “Sanay na ako. Pero nasasaktan ako kapag sinasabi na nagpapaandar ako para lang mapag-usapan.” (Ignore mode dapat. You don’t have to prove anything to people who don’t deserve even a second of your time.)

Willie Revillame on being determined to continue “Wowowin”: “May mga property ako na puwedeng mabenta [para] ma-maintain ko ’tong show. Mababawi naman ’yan lahat, eh… Ang importante nakikita kong masaya ang mga tao.” (Oh. Next item please.)

Willie, asked if he sees himself getting married soon: “Mahirap na sa sitwasyon ko… Dapat pag nag-asawa ka, ready ka. Eh hindi ako ready.” (Truer words were never spoken.)
