ABS-CBN reality show “Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) 737” is making waves online yet again, this time not for a blooming “bromance,” but for having a baby on board.
During Sunday’s episode of PBB, Philip Lampart, one of the 12 new housemates, was allowed to bring his son Romeo inside the house.
It was also announced that Lampart’s wife Robbie will be given “special privilege” to visit and attend to the needs of their baby.
Lampart is tagged as the “Determined Dad ng Australia.”
Some netizens welcomed the idea of having a “cute” baby inside the house, saying it was something they would look forward to in the show.
“Mas na-enjoy ko ‘yung PBB ngayon to be honest kase may baby,” @idekcurlyharry said.
“I think I’m just gonna watch PBB just because there’s a baby inside the house,” @CHRZMRQLRZNDY tweeted.
“As of now si baby Romeo inaabangan ko sa PBB ang cute cute kasi!” @AngelynDC addded.
Other Twitter users, however, raised eyebrows over baby Romeo’s entry, saying he would only be “exploited” by the program.
“I’m gonna be mad if the baby stays inside PBB. You can’t exploit a baby on national TV,” said @filletshoww.
“Isn’t it child exploitation to let a BABY enter the PBB house? Shame. Shame. Shame. Come on! That should count as child abuse,” @gzlach tweeted.
“Pati ba naman walang kamuwang-muwang na baby isinali sa PBB. Kawawa naman,” @kittencatxvi added.
Asked for reaction and possible implications, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board told INQUIRER.net over the phone that the agency had to receive a formal complaint or report before it could act on or issue a statement regarding the matter. YG
