ERIK Santos and Angeline Quinto
Rumored sweethearts are all set to fill up the Big Dome in their major concert, “Erik Santos and Angeline Quinto at the Araneta Coliseum,” on Aug. 15, 8 p.m., with special guests Regine Velasquez and Martin Nievera. (For tickets, call 9115555.)
It’s a back-to-back concert with a twist, featuring three sets in one event.
Erik, Angeline and the veteran hitmakers will interpret timeless love songs from different generations.
They will make everyone feel like it’s Valentine’s Day in August. Like Cupid’s arrows, their love songs will not fail to hit us where it matters.
Here’s my one-on-one with Erik:
What is your song for Angeline and what is her song for you?
My song for her is “This I Promise You” by ’N Sync and her song for me is “All My Life” by America.
What makes the two of you click?
Maybe because we both have a good sense of humor and we sing the same genre of music. We both love singing power ballads. People also say that we have good chemistry on stage and that we sound great when we perform in a concert or record a song.
What’s the worst rumor about you?
The gay rumor, but I just ignore it.
What don’t people know about you?
That I can’t sleep alone most of the time because I have a wild imagination. And I experienced nightmares with sleep paralysis, so to be safe there should be someone around to wake me up in case it happens again. Also, I have a big appetite.
If a song were written about you, what would the title be?
They’ve written the songs already. “I Believe I Can Fly” and “This Is the Moment.” Those songs represent different episodes of my life as an artist and as a person.
Juday, hands-on mom
JUDY Ann Santos
I have fond memories of hanging out with Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo when she was still single. She was always such a gracious host at her former resto, Kilimanjaro. But the party girl in her has already mellowed. Juday is now a hands-on mom and a model wife.
She really takes to heart the message of of her latest TV commercial for RiteMed (RM), “Maging ligtas sa duda (Be free from doubt).”
As a family woman, Juday does not take anything for granted to ensure her children and husband’s safety. “I believe in the advocacy of RM, in offering affordable but high-quality medicine,” says Juday.
Judy Ann is enjoying her pregnancy. According to her close friend, Noel Ferrer, she often craves rambutan and anything crunchy.
All her TV and film duties are on hold until she gives birth in February. Juday is focused on promoting her cookbook, “Judy Ann’s Kitchen,” which is selling like hotcakes. A second cookbook is in the offing.
As for the much-awaited project with Piolo Pascual, there are no concrete plans yet.
For now, Juday is savoring domestic bliss.
