New day, new life for Zsa Zsa Padilla

ZSA ZSA Padilla plans to wear a simple dress on her wedding day.

“My heart is happy and content,” singer-actress Zsa Zsa Padilla said of her relationship with boyfriend, architect Conrad Onglao, whom she’s reportedly marrying early next year in Florence, Italy.

Zsa Zsa said that she’s not raring to have a lavish wedding. “I’ll probably wear a simple dress. I just need our families to be there—no need for big parties,” she said at the launch of her album, “Beginnings” (PolyEast Records). “It’s not about the celebration, but the commitment that you make.”

Zsa Zsa, who has been dating Conrad for the past year, described him as “very romantic.” “But just like me, he loves simple things. When he gave me duhat—one of my favorites—my heart was filled with joy,” she said, laughing.

Meanwhile, her 10-track CD, she said, is composed mostly of 1970s tunes, like Andy Gibbs’ “I Just Want to be Your Everything,” Chicago’s “If You Leave Me Now,” Bee Gees’ “How Deep is Your Love” and The Carpenters’ “Rainy Days and Mondays.”

Zsa Zsa is set to hold a concert, also called “Beginnings,” at Resorts World Manila’s Newport Performing Arts Theater Friday night.
