Social media was abuzz on whether or not basketball star James Yap and Italian girlfriend Michela Cazzola are putting into rest their years of togetherness.
This, when Yap, an Ilonggo, posted a photo on his Instagram account an emotional quote that seemed to pertain about breakups. The post was written in a Visayan dialect.
One website translated it in Filipino:
“Kung ang pag-ibig ay dumating sa puntong masakit na, pakawalan mo na at isalba mo na ang iyong sarili. Tandaan na may makikita ka pang ibang mamahalin pero hindi ka na makakakita ng ibang ikaw.”
(If love has come to a point that it already hurts, let it go and save yourself. Remember that you can find someone else to love, but you can never find another you.)

James did not mention his girlfriend’s name though, but netizens believed that he was referring to his relationship with his Italian girlfriend.
The two have been into serious relationship for some years now. There were even reports that the two were planning to get married.
Curiously, a day after posting the quote, Yap and Cazola posted a photo of them together while “waiting for a flight.”
