Following rumors circulating on social media that Jiro Manio had been found dead in Cainta, Rizal, actress-comedienne Ai-Ai de las Alas on Tuesday took to Instagram to disprove the hoax.
Ai-Ai posted a collage showing photos of her with Jiro inside a facility in Quezon City.
“Eto siya super healthy … Ok na ok siya buhay na buhay … Sana mga taong nagkakalat na patay siya tumigil na sila … To all my followers paki-repost na lang po … Salamat #buhayathealthyjiro,” she said in the caption.
Stressing that Jiro was in good condition, Ai-Ai on Sunday also posted a screengrab of text messages from Jiro’s doctor Bernadette Arcena.
“Updates for Jiro: He was seen by the internist for medical clearance. He was given multivitamins. He is still watchful but more interactive,” the doctor said.
“Exercise regimen was strictly advised so he will be more in shape … We are improving slowly but surely. Health wise, he is a lot better,” she added.
Instead of spreading rumors, Ai-Ai said people should pray for the former actor’s fast recovery.
“Wala pong katotohanan kung ano man ang pangit na kumakalat about him. Nasa mabuti po siyang kalagayan … Sana ’yung mga walang magawa diyan ’wag na kayo imbento ng mga kung ano ano about kay Jiro,” she said. “Let’s just pray na mabilis na lang ang recovery niya at makita niyo na siya soon.”
Jiro, known for his role in the movie “Magnifico,” was found roaming around the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in June. YG
