TALENT manager Annabelle Rama insisted on Tuesday that she, together with the members of her family, does not use any script while filming the reality show “It Takes Gutz to Be a Gutierrez.”
“Wala sa script ang mga nangyari sa buhay namin,” said Annabelle during the launch of the show’s third season and three other upcoming local shows at E! Asia channel.
Dubbed as the first Asian family reality series, “It Takes Gutz to Be a Gutierrez” allows the audience to get a load of the daily happenings in the lives of the Gutierrez show business clan.
Other family members include Rama’s husband 1960’s matinee idol Eddie, former beauty queen Ruffa, actor Richard, host and fashionista Raymond as well as Rocky, Elvis and Ritchie Paul.
“Everybody’s asking scripted ba yan? No, it’s not scripted!” Annabelle added.
She said during the first season of the show she gets tight-lipped around the house as she knows there’s a camera following her. “Gusto kong magmura, ‘di ako makapagmura.”
Annabelle, a stern mother who is always ready to come to her children’s rescue, has always been known for her fiery personality.
“After ng first season, OK na ko sa second season. Parang nakalimutan ko may camera, at wala akong pakialam. Murahin ko man katabi ko wala akong paki,” she said.
Annabelle believes if there were really a script, it would be very hard to act.
“Ayoko ng may script. Kung may script talaga…ako ang unang [gagawa] ng gimmick…maging tomboy ako…hindi ko magagawa ‘yon kasi di naman ‘yon reality. Kung ano natural ng family ginagawa talaga namin,” she said.
The third season of “It Takes Gutz to Be a Gutierrez” will premiere this July 27 on E! Asia.
The other three shows to be watched out this month are ‘How Do I Look Asia?”, “The StyleList Inc.” and “Top Five.”
